Painting deep rims?

Posted on
  • Hi all,

I've got bright yellow deep rims which i liked at the time but now really don't like...

im toying with the idea of painting them, ideally just a plain black - any advice/experience of this?

  • The thought had crossed my mind!

  • Black? Don’t be fucking ridiculous. One fluoro pink and the other one green and opposite colour tyres or gtfo.

Halfords satin black covers quite well though.

  • Embrace your inner 2008

  • I found some black plastic spray for £2, quick sand, spin and spray, job done in minutes easy

  • YES!!!!!

Alternatively, have them powder coated. I did that to a set of Open Pros and they turned out very nice. Minus the hours spent on masking all 72 holes and cleaning the tape residue afterwards.

  • Like Plastidip?

    Where was it?

Halfords do something similar for alloy wheels. Paint on and peel off when bored.

  • No it is actually for plastic furniture, not sure it will peel off, good though no primer just whacked on
