Sushi is amazing here, cheap, fresh and delicious... Mostly Korean style, which is great... It's generally our Friday night take-out treat... Unless I go with the karaage rice bowl option... Which is beyond words...

They don't have much taste and have a chewy spring - I think for what you want they would be fine. I think you can find them online (not amazon) Konjac noodles.

That looks amazing! What recipe did you use? I tried making this with short ribs a while back and it was delicious but too fatty and too much effort...

It’s from The Ultimate Wood Fired Oven Cookbook by Genevieve Taylor, incredibly simple like many of the other recipes in it

Taco Chronicles on Netflix is fantastic, watch at once...
Slightly bittersweet for me, hoho, I can't eat a lot of those classic Mexican ingredients anymore but still a terrific show... I have to create a very watered down version when we have a taco night these days, harumph...

Will check that out. Been bingeing on Netflix cooking shows recently. Just finished all 8 seasons of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown. Such an amazing show. Heartbreaking all over again.

What's the German Deli like for sausages and is there anywhere obviously better in the UK/mail order?
I'm after some Käsekrainer and using these as my benchmark:

Being a pan nerd, I was quite happy when Mrs asked for an oval casserole as a present. Le Creuset seemed obvious but then £250 not so obvious.
Anyhow, ended up getting one from Pro Cook. 80% of the quality, 30% of the cost. Liked it so much that I ordered two steel pans, one "professional" and one tri ply. Again, very impressed with the price to quality ratio, free postage and quick dispatch.
Worth considering if you are in the market for nice pans.
Edit: last stainless pans I bought were Bourgeat tradition from Nisbet and I was a bit underwhelmed by the quality vs cost of those.

That's a lot for an oval casserole, I've seen them at TKMaxx in Oz for $250... Still too rich for my blood at that price...
In other news... My acid reflux is out of control, I can't fucking eat anything anymore... Difficult thing to monitor, anyone else have problems?

Have you tried Zantac?
I first discovered this when my step father was using it for a stomach ulcer. I "borrowed" some and it worked a treat. It was prescription only at that time, now you can get it OTC.
top shout chasps. i shall poke my head in.
does anyone know what they taste like? I'm on the prowl for carbless noodle / spag replacement and these seem to come at the top of most lists.
