Being a pan nerd, I was quite happy when Mrs asked for an oval casserole as a present. Le Creuset seemed obvious but then £250 not so obvious.
Anyhow, ended up getting one from Pro Cook. 80% of the quality, 30% of the cost. Liked it so much that I ordered two steel pans, one "professional" and one tri ply. Again, very impressed with the price to quality ratio, free postage and quick dispatch.
Worth considering if you are in the market for nice pans.
Edit: last stainless pans I bought were Bourgeat tradition from Nisbet and I was a bit underwhelmed by the quality vs cost of those.
