Just seen a pic of a guy I don’t particularly like shivering under a foil blanket at the top of yesterday’s final climb and it’s cheered me right up.

I think watching skinny cyclists trying to fight with swords and flails would be top notch entertainment. I’m not sure it’s a fair way to decide the outcome of the Tour though.

Maybe they should introduce 1 stage each year that will be altered but not disclose where or when . ventoux is out but now its in when they get close etc.

Just make it a massive alley cat. When you get to the top of one peak you’re told which is the next one to head for.

When all my mates were into ultra running they told me about a race called the piece of string. The distance could be anywhere between 10k and 100k and you only found out when they said stop.

Ultra runners are bonkers

There was a guy that worked at the same financial institution I temped at some years ago. After meeting him cycling into work he said he used to do ultra-marathons but after many years because of injuries he switched to bike racing. The stuff he did made my knees ache just by the description.

I reckon Alaphilippe the musketeer would win that.

Stage will be cancelled.

And Champs Elysees shortened to 400m. (DD really regretting not bringing Cav now)

Sigh. Finish the Tour from end of stage 19. It seems to be what both the conspiricists and the French weather system wants.

If today is cancelled the Paris stage should get fucked off and they should do an old school two stage in one day affair in the Alps tomorrow. It's only fair.

I'd missed that Bardet managed to hang on to the KOM jersey thanks to yesterday's stage being stopped.

François Thomazeau very much of the view that cancelling the stage actually helped Julian too because he would have lost more time, so what might originally seemed to not have been in France's favour may have actually been the opposite.
