Love it when Dave gets salty in interviews (re: did natural disaster help Egan win the tour question)
-
• #23530
anyone else watching ITV4? The state of that guy's questions to Dave B: "Would you be happy with a natural disaster making you win the Tour?"

Well there's two big climbs tomorrow and ineos have looked shakey, domestique-wise, every single day. So apart from poels they're likely to be on their own from quite early. Surely thomas should cover attacks for his teammate in yellow?

• #23532
pretty crumby question. cunt obviously wasn't paying attention and was a JA fanboi
-
• #23534
Yep. Ineos don't care who wins, as long as one of them does. So whatever they need to do to defend the jersey.

An other decision couldn't be made, I agree. But Sir Davesford is wrong in saying 'everyone knew it was going to happen on the Iseran'; Jumbo Visma played De Plus to support Kruijswijk in the transition to, and on, the climb to the finish

Battle for podium should be interesting.

So this will go down to the wire tomorrow which clashes perfectly with the Warrington v. Hull challenge cup semi.
And I invite @Oliver Schick to pick out the hilarious wordplay in that sentence.
-
• #23538
I like the "wire" wordplay which all the other rugby league fans will spot straight away.

Possible Colombian clean sweep of the grand tours this year?
-
• #23540
Carapaz is from Equador, so no.
-
• #23541
Ahh shit
Can I change that to South American then?
-
• #23542
Haha, know what you meant!
Not sure who is supposed to ride it, but a decent length TT would favour someone like Roglic? -

Also, not even Wout could have cyclo-crossed this:

If only he had the support that Kruijswijk had.

Landslides have closed the Cormet de Roseland descent on tomorrow's stage. It looks like it'll be 60 kms long and only include the finishing climb.

Saxo tinkoff dudes hanging with sagz.

Route now confirmed - they'll take the main road through Moutiers, which is a dump, then straight up the 33 km climb to Val Thorens. 59 kms in total.
The first 45 minutes is going to be frantic.

60 Kms? Gonna be mad.
I don't think they were to far apart. I'd guess the Doms pull as far as they can and then Thomas to protect Bernal if needed. If they get close enough to the top then a free run for both.
