  • When there is a product recall, you will usually be asked to provide proof of purchase.

If you weren't the purchaser (for example, you received the faulty product as a gift), the easiest route to getting your money back will be to get proof of purchase from the person who bought your gift, if this is possible. This is to make it easier for the retailer to process your claim from an administrative perspective.

If you’re not able to get proof of purchase and the person who paid by cash, you should go directly to the manufacturer.

The manufacturer should not require any proof of purchase. If you have the item your possession, that should be enough, and the manufacturer should arrange to retrieve, replace or fix the product.

Seems I might have a chance? If nothing else, because Cannondale might be liable if I die riding it and that's more expensive than giving me a new one. I'll try it

  • Is that UK too? Presumably so

  • confused.com

  • bluuueeeghhh

  • Dr Cake’s crosscheck has fewer spacers than that

  • Jaysus. That stack stem combo is bigger than my fucking elbow

  • cannondale only had 2 things going for them; pro level horizontal TT carbon bikes and top end alu road bikes, both dead ..

  • They still have the best cranks and a weird short travel single leg suspension doobry

That said my money is on them killing off both the Hollowgram crank and the Lefty in the next few years

  • thats like saying Specialized have future shock and OSBB

  • No it isn’t

  • Somebody, please switch off Cannondale's life support

  • No paint/no spacers looks better:

  • I'm a big fan of Cannondale, I've had many - I currently own two.

I'm finding their latest stuff doesn't resonate with me, however - the only bike from their current range that I'd want, I have, and whilst I'm looking at buying a new bike right now it won't be a Cannondale.

  • Would.
    After a pint.

  • Those chain rings, and the non system stem - blergh.

  • Saddle to bar drop on that is ridic

  • I'm in the market for a new road bike, have just ridden a rented CAAD12 for a couple of days and loved it. Now torn between buying a CAAD12 in the sales (not actually that many great deals around and not super keen on the available colourways, that's personal) – and the new CAAD13 where the mudguard mounts would be a big plus, which I've seen (albeit not ridden) and thought ok.

I get that it's a departure from the traditional CAAD aesthetics but if I don't mind that, is there an objective reason not to get a CAAD13 right now?

  • I’ve got a new SystemSix as a midlife crisis bike and I love it. The stem is a bit of an abomination, however.

I’m toying with ditching it but I’ve spent enough for the time being.

I will chip away at the spacers 5mm at a time but it’s already a pretty low front end for me.

  • midlife crisis

You mean 'adding spacers 5mm at at time'?

  • Is anyone looking for a caad12 disc?

I have decided to part with mine as i’m not really using it and we’re potentially moving in a few months.

Bought 2017 from sigma, has Shimano Ultegra 6800, SI cranks and OPI spidering, hunt 4 season disc wheels, spesh turbo cottons in 26mm, 3T ergo nova bar and ARXii stem, Selle Italia SLR kit carbonio saddle. Recently serviced and little use since.

Thought I’d put it in here before advertising to the wider forum, open to offers
