Yes, I’d say that’s generally true and I am sure it will be fine! The new Thameslink trains have bags of space, even in the non-cycling bits.
The squeeze (for me) has always been the coastway east and west trains : /FTR: The Southern mainline policy has been to have restrictions on non-folders: Victoria, Brighton, Kensington Olympia at both ends of the day. Dunno if that’s still the case - I haven’t been doing that commute for a few years now!
