don't exactly know why Spurs have registered an interest in Dybala, apart from trying to apply pressure to betis to push through the Lo Celso deal. Dybala is a purer replacement for Eriksen, playing high up, linking midfield and attack, play as a second striker, or possibly be an option to play up top by himself without Kane.
Lo Celso seems more of a pressing, passing, dribbling, attacking midfielder who you can play a couple of positions in the midfield, but more in the attacking band.Think Pochettino wants to change how we play, to break down the teams that defend deep on us, play more aggressively through midfield, less emphasis on wingback/full back play.
Issue with Rodriguez, Coutinho and Ozil is workrate without the ball, and the need for the play to go through them constantly to be effective. If they're not pressing and harrying and starting the chase for the ball for quick transitions, then what good are they. Despite the lack of interest currently in him, Eriksen is better than all of them in that regard, and pretty flexible in where you can play him.
Who wants an attacking midfielder/regista/make weight in midfield?
I am rephrasing something I read earlier this week/month but it fits in with the "ooh Zidane, ooh Scholes".
James Rodriguez, Coutinho, and Ozil (OMG I READ IT FROM SOMETHING YOU POSTED @cornelius_blackfoot ) are all up for grabs/ not really wanted. Peak attacking midfielder has passed.
We're all after left and right backs now.
Also.
Sane.
Why he go Bayern? Is he not right in the head?
