I went on holiday and left mine in the care of my girlfriend, when came back and mine was similar but with a layer of mould in-between the crust and murky liquid. I asked her what she'd done to it as I'd told her to put 1 teaspoon of flour and a little trickle of water in... She'd been pouring boiling water into it. Not a successful attempt at sourdough parenting.
