Finally decided what lights to use.
Had to go for a ride round the local park as not ridden in the dark for ages.
Confirmed the misgivings I had about my exposure Strada, it just doesn't put enough light down the road. So I'll take an eBay usb job instead. With a Fresnel lens fitted to focus the light a bit and stop dazzling it's a really good light and it runs directly off a power bank.
Backup will be a b+m ixon iq premium, which gives 20 hours of decent light off 4 AAs. Will probably take rechargeables and use disposables only if power running low.
