Based on your tyre choice, I'd say 1x10..
Unless you already have a really nice 3x9 crankset in your parts bin. -

does anyone know if there is an IS to post mount disk calliper adapter that will allow me to run 140mm discs on a front fork?
it looks as if most are 160 front/140 rear... -

There is but it looks a bit weird: TRP L-1

I have one I never used. It is butt ugly

Anyone here ever used MicroShift SB-M100 drop-bar shifters with a Shimano 10spd Clutch MTB rear mech?
-
• #123783
Yes. Is it urgent? It needs shipping from Denmark and it is in my workshop which is a bit far away from me currently.

• #123784
ah, no worries. I'll try and source one from nearer to home.
any forumers built a bike around one of these yet?
-
• #123785
No. They are quite stupid. I decided to go for 160 instead. Makes much more sense

I have 160mm front at the moment, but just bought some wheels with 140mm rotors included, so wanted to see if there was an option to use them...
I've seen a slightly less worse looking adapter and all the bits will be black so might not look too horrendous? time will tell I guess!
other option would be to try and source a 140mm post mount fork, but that might be a little extreme...

other option
Surely the actual other option is just to get a 160mm rotor for your new wheel

• #123788
oh yeah, and that option! 😄

Bought this on here as many of you will have seen. It’s pretty rough paint wise but I thought it’d make a ratty hip hop summer road build for sliding into the office (new job gift to myself)
However the shimano bottom bracket and the frame appear to have become one and the dropouts are quite corroded. I’ve read about the dropout - carbon joints becoming a bit weak after some corrosion to the alloy. Hopefully this doesn’t end up expensive or scrap.

I’m in the process of converting my wife’s Raleigh 20 (hopefully) into my fixed wheel commuter. I’ve got a 450mm seatpost to start dialling the fit before I commit to too much spending. It’s just long enough and there are new tyres en route.
A nitto NTC 280 stem should just about give the stack I need but I could do with more reach than the 100mm. As it doesn't actually need a quill wedge, would a section of plain gauge stainless tube be strong enough to not overly endanger my teeth?

The updated rotor track crank comes as short as 150mm. i kinda sorta want to try 160mm
On another note. I recently purchased a road bike. After two weeks of riding and one charge of the di2, I went to downshift on rings and the chain crapped out a moment after I started going up my driveway. I looked at the chain and thought hmm maybe I can pull it out from under the derailleur where it was stuck. I broke the derailleur and missing a small screw because of my ignorance. My lbs told me I should try ebay as that dura-ace groupset is no longer in production.

On the one hand, any crank length shorter than too long is hard to distinguish from another in terms of performance, so go ahead and have fun.
On the other hand, any crank length shorter than too long is hard to distinguish from another in terms of performance, so why bother?

You should, there's a NOS one on there for half what shops which still have stock are charging.

I was given a Peugeot Optimum for free a few years back. It was in very bad condition. I gave it a respray using spray.bike, including some of the kerin glittery stuff. Decided to spray the bar and stem as well since they were powder coated grey already. I threw on some of my old 5700 groupset and a new set of vision team comp 35 wheels.
