Has anyone used this?

Thinking of getting one to store one or two bikes in my front garden. They’re not super expensive bikes and I’ll have them locked in there too.

I've used something like that in the past... pretty good and big enough for two bikes for sure... I'd think about securing them somehow inside as well as it's at the front of the house... I did the same with mine even though it was in the back

Made a matching (partially) titanium bike hanger for my bike. Including decals for extra matchy matchy points...

Are they level?

Yes, but after the pictures were taken. The tubes are fully adjustable in the ti mounting plates to level them. You wouln't guess, but the mechanism comes from orthopedic leg prosthesises :)

Does anyone have any experience of storing bikes on a sheltered Balcony in London? Any do's or don'ts?

I've had several mates have bikes stolen from balconies 2-3 stories up. I'd suggest you keep them locked to a fixed point and probably cover them with a tarp. Bike thieves are determined bastards.

What’s the insurance position on storing bikes unlocked in an outbuilding? All our bikes are in my studio wot I built. It’s pretty secure. Probably about as secure as the house to be honest. Would an insurance company see it that way, or should I be pointlessly locking them up individually as well?

Contact Hiscox. I asked them a bunch of questions before I got their insurance. My insurance would be covered if MY bike was stolen from YOUR studio, as well as my own place. I've never needed to claim however.

cheers yeah, I think I need to just phone up Admiral (who I have my contents insurance with currently) and see what I'm covered for. I did take a look at ETA, who have an encouragingly simple policy of if the outbuilding can only be entered by violent force then bikes don't have to be locked to an immovable object inside.

hi all
bought a new-build flat in a building of 6 in Guildford. very nice and we are really happy after being here almost a year now. only qualm we have is that the developer is dragging his feet over installing a bike store as promised - and fucking detailed in the planning permission! he originally suggested putting some hooks up on an exterior wall. I told him that wasn't acceptable so want to present some options to him - before getting the council involved. who makes good massive sheds? at least space for 6 bikes.. ideally 10? where should I be looking?
any help much appreciated

Did you phone admiral in the end? Curious as I’m with them too, I have my bikes on the policy as extras, in a locked garage. I’m fairly sure I asked them about it when I took then policy out but would be interesting to know what you found out - if anything.

Best option for a storage shed for 3 bikes outdoors. Is asgard the go to brand?

I haven’t yet, no. It’s on the list of mundane life-admin I have to plough through :-)
I’ll let you know what they say, though.

Clever system for those with a garage or a shed.
Fancy version of putting a wall anchor and a lock through. -

I've swapped the bike that was hanging on my Cycloc Hero (sans wheel support) and the new one is sliding at the front. I understand the support are supplied for a reason, but most of the hang-by-a- pedal stands don't come with one, so what I am missing? Weight doesn't seem to be a factor, the original bike was quite front heavy and was fine, my light modern road bike ditto, but my track and older road bike don't seem balance...
