Not really, no. Delgado got up the road, Millar's team went missing in action, there was some confusion on the time gaps, and by the time the Peugeot management knew what was going on and started trying to make deals with other teams to help him, it was too late.
Spanish teams helped more through inaction rather than working to make Millar lose.
It’s not going to happen. This idea that teams will collaborate to beat a rival is a myth. You’ll see occasional tactical collaboration, like on the stage to Albi where there was a chance to distance some GC rivals, but this idea that they’ll work together as a cohesive unit to defeat a stronger rival is a fantasy.
