It saddens me to be parting with this as it's probably the most fun I've had on a bike, however I'm no longer able to keep my bike indoors at work and don't fancy leaving this outside, so have had to replace it with something less eyecatching
In it's pictured state this pretty rare frameset weighs a measly 2kg - including the seatpost - so would make a great crit bike or climber for the smaller rider - I'm 5'6 and 70kg and it's a very nice fit - I used an 80mm stem. It has an English BB thread and has internal routing on the top tube
Honestly I can't say enough about this frame, it's very very quick, light as fluff and looked quality when built up. Never crashed or dropped and is crack-free
As expected with a frame of this age, it has the usual marks here and there. The only major chips are at the dropouts as pictured. Always meant to touch these up with nail polish but never got round to it. As the pictures also show, the head tube has chipping around the upper and lower sections, but these are superficial and don't affect the steering at all. I touched up some of the decals on the top tube with some grey nail polish which I'll include in the sale if needed. The barrel adjusters on the downtube are quite worn but could be replaced, or maybe they just need some penetrating spray - I've not had to use them much
One thing to mention is the steerer tube. It looks like it's in a bad way at first sight but I haven't had any issues with it and there's no vertical splitting on the inside. If this is any cause for concern you would likely be able to get away with chopping some of the top off and see if this smooths things out. As I said though, this hasn't been a problem for me, I built this up with no spacers so as to have as much purchase on the steerer as possible and it's been fine
