• For sale is this lovely Wally Green racer that dates from the 1960's., available on here for seven days before going on Ebay.

Ex Speedway racer Wally Green was a prolific frame builder working from premises in Hendon.
He supplied frames to various shops that were badged under their own names such as Clark's of Harrow and Ted Pritchard of Cobham and also some bearing his name. This example is one of the latter. Formerly owned by a member of the Bognor CC this frame was renovated at some point by Carter Hall Cycles of Portsmouth who used their own transfers which included gold Gothic script down tube ones 'Carhall.' Coincidentally Wally Green also supplied Carter Hall with his frames.

I bought the bike several years ago and replaced, with one exception, the Carter Hall transfers with Wally Green ones courtesy of Lloyds Decals. The Carter Hall transfer on the seat tube was left as is to preserve a bit of the frame's history. The frame is in good condition, 22" and has a mix of standard equipment including aero brakes which I never bothered to replace for more contemporary ones. Wheels are 700s with large flange Q/R hubs. The bike itself performs very nicely.

Collection only from RG6 near to Earley Station - last but one stop before Reading on the Waterloo line. Or for the cost of my train ticket and a cuppa I could meet under the clock with it at Waterloo. Price? A bargain £275 for something rather rare and different. I can only upload one pic at a time but can supply others upon request including how it looked in its Carter Hall finery. Please give me a call if you're interested, 07584 044161

    Thanks,
    Shaun
