Some good deals in Dolan’s sale on the website.

There is a “challenge” on strava where you get a £10 Halfords voucher if you complete 5x30min rides before the 20th July.
It backdates any rides you have already completed from 21st June.

Good shout. Thanks dude. I am in the market for one of those ground anchors (have bolts and resin from elsewhere already).
-
• #3407
No worries.
That was in Walthamstow one btw -

Just bought one of these as I need somewhere to keep my phone thats not on my bars and still use it for an upcoming ride. £4.99 (from £13.99). Its a bit spoddy but its really well made. Also they chucked in some puncture patches and a headphone extension, which was a nice surprise.
Also got a bladder which came to £2.50 (down from £4.99) because I bought the other thing.
Would recommend the retailer (https://btrsports.co.uk/).
Free shipping. Amazing deal. It arrived really quick too.

Bryn here from BTR Sports
Thanks for the review @tallsam
We have many different designs of these types of bags and in fact too many, so we have reduced them to pretty much cost price (loss making when considering free postage) just to clear some warehouse space. There is nothing wrong with them and are they are solid little bags so don’t be concerned by the cheap price.
I can also confirm they are being sent from Sussex and not from Asia so you should receive your delivery within a day or two usually

Cheers Bryn, like I say really impressed with the quality. Just what I needed.

Not buying anything on Prime day
Or indeed, at all, whenever it can possibly be avoided. To the point I’ll happy pay a couple of quid more from elsewhere.
In all honesty thought, I’d say 98% of the time I can find everything I want for the same price - or less - from elsewhere.
If you were to buy everything over the course of a year on amazon, the aggregate price probably does even out at the cheaper end. But if you don’t mind shopping around a bit, you can usually avoid amazon entirely and not spend any more.

Absolutely. I've bought very little on Amazon.
If I buy more I'll convince myself Prime is worthwhile and then you're roped in to buying everything you need from Amazon.
-
• #3414
What Bryn fails to mention is that if you buy a second one it comes at half (the already reduced) price. So if you know someone who might like one...

Must resist.
(Totally making an order after two pints)

Ooh - also need a ground anchor, were there a few left? I'll go up to the Walthamstow one tomorrow morning if there were. It's my nearest anyway so not the end of the world if they've sold out.
-
• #3417
Can you let me know if there are any left please? I'm in E10 so it is probably my local one too
-
• #3418
Damn! Just bought one, would of bought two
-
• #3419
Yeah about three left.
-
• #3420
Thanks! Just been and picked one up, there were at least two more maybe three as of half an hour ago.
-
• #3421
Well if someone wants one but they've run out, I've got one slightly older (but unused) one by the same company I'm looking to get rid of... ;)

On the topic of ground anchors, I've extracted this from my front garden, you're welcome to it for free.
The post crete is set in is quite crumbly, I'd say a couple of hard smacks of a lump hammer would set it free, i just dont want to clean the mess in my garden ha ha!

There’s a clear reference to Kleins monochromatics there
Tribe bars were 14 quid for 16 bars earlier. Down from 20.
