I have an A2- Bloody great cars, I only have experience of the diesels though. I also have a Vag code reader which you are welcome to borrow from east london to plug in when you view it.

My Audi mechanic friend just bought one for his girlfriend. Be aware that some spares are unavailable. I think he mentioned the window wiper particularly.

Don't by a cheap 1.6, that is why they are cheap. If it is a 1.4, coil packs. Go diesel for reliability (and disdain).They are on the up at the moment, in the last couple of months two magazines' Autocar and a Classics one have featured them as modern classics with buyers guides. The A2OC.net is great for info, and enthusiastic projects. You'll also hear many tales of woe from 1.6 owners.

Who was the chap who liked the Audi A2?
Found a cheap petrol A2 and it has issues so was wondering how easy to trace when buying to confirm if it is the ECU, coil, injectors or something else.
