So, Carapaz is out of contract at the end of the year and is rumoured to be joining Ineos. Under UCI rules teams can only announce new signings for the following year after August 1st so I think that is what Ned Boulting was alluding to.
Only Carapaz and his agent, who had lots of Ineos riders on his books already, know for sure where he’s going. Movistar are very keen to keep him as they will lose both Landa and Quintana at the end of the season, but I don’t know if they can match Ineos’ offer.
