Is it an actual prototype though? That was part of the appeal. To my knowledge there were only the green and blue ones which were rattle-canned on the sidewalk outside of Mash.

Also believe both pictures are of the same bike, the owner has replaced the top and head tubes!! Maybe they had the same issue with the rust ;)

Looks like Suntour Commander shifters. Always wanted a pair. I bet they're awful to use though. Anyone ever used any?

Dont wanna judge those shifters yet since the der.-hanger is bend since i own that bike and its kinda weird with the old 7speed cassette!besides that i think the brain can get adjusted to lots of things.
I always wanted to try the kelly take-offs which are not that much different!?!?

I used to have a pair of Kelly Take-offs. Bought off here and never got round to building the bike they were intended for. Sold back to the guy who I bought them off.
