  • Thanks. Am sad, but bright side is new bike. Another Kona Unit is the basic choice, looks good in 2019 green, but I'd love a Stooge. Building it up myself is OK, it's the choosing of parts that's hard. Too much choice.

    Then whatever I buy my friend will tell me how badly I've chosen :)

  • I had a Mk2 Stooge. Really rated it. Had two wheelsets - one light 29er with xc tyres and one 650b with 3" tyres for silly stuff.

    It is a fantastically capable rigid (or bouncy with the newer versions) bike. Sold mine as it was way overkill for the riding I do.

    Dont rule out a singular swift for something more xc style though. Still a great bike.

  • Singular don't seem to have any stock in at the moment.

    I'm torn between a 2nd hand, but essentially brand new Stooge in green (built up with decent components for £1.1k ) and a new, blue frame.

    Buying a frame means sourcing and fitting components of course, which I have doubts about.
