This could actually be cheaper than getting a charity place!

Commiserations mag through the post today.
Assuming I finish the London Marathon this year I'll just need this one for the London Classics medal (already done Swim Serpentine 2 mile swim twice). If I don't get a place in next year's ballot I'll go for a charity place instead. Probably timed better as I'll be looking to do a half or full Ironman next year so 100 miles at a faster pace (faster than I'd go on an Audax) would be useful training.

Congratulations look to have gone out as well. Girlfriend got hers this morning, have to wait a couple of days to see if I'll be joining her.

Think I've got in for the 1st time ever.
If you check this it gives you some details.

No dice for me. Charity spot it is. Which doesn't bother me since I was doing it for charity anyway.

4 years of ballots and still no dice. I should never buy lottery tickets.

If anyone is looking for a place, without an onerous demand to raise anything -

It is for a charity but they aren't demanding any minimum pledges and will help you out

Tandem time!

If I bought another bike, even if it’s a tandem, I might not have anyone left to ride it with....

I'll join you!

Wow, I actually got a ballot place for the first time this year.

My brother in law had lymes disease, caught it in the states but travelled back to Ireland before the effects set in. No one knew what was going on for weeks and then he had to go back to the states to get treated.
True story.

Cheers got sorted my entry. 6.20 start which is earlier than last year!
-
• #2445
Same, and my wife is only 8 minutes ahead in the same colour wave, so should be able to start together!
-
• #2446
Oh nice!
-
• #2447
6.24 for me, not bad.
-
• #2448
I'm in the second wave to go.
Is it worth getting there at the start of my load time? Or can I turn up at the last minute to avoid a long wait?
-
• #2449
No word yet for me

I think you're in for a long wait whatever. Get a salt beef bagel from brick lane on the way
Wasn’t it a rather cheeky ride marshal from Twickenham CC
