Second DD for me (1st last year). Loved every minute. Agree with the above that the turn out seemed smaller and more roady-ish this year, I missed seeing a wider mix of people. The only real novelty i saw was a lightless teenager dressed as a clown who was coming in the opposite direction in one the Essex villages.
Rode with a couple of much faster friends this year and couldn't believe i was able to maintain the pace. Arrived a full 2 hours earlier, although we also stopped less.
@TvH agree: vegan beans were a bit hard to digest was back on the bike. Last year's vegan wiener (sounds like an insult: you vegan wiener!) was much better. Whilst I'm moaning about food - thought the breakfast in The Ship was poor this year - fry ups without toast?!!
