  • My front brake is feeling a bit vague. I left it tied up over yesterday and last night and it's feeling a bit firmer, but still not amazing.

I'm going to give them a clean as it's been a while, but was also wondering about changing the pads.

What are peoples views which pads? Organic, sintered, semi-sintered? EBC?

It's for an aircooled bonnie scrambler - so single calliper, duel piston. Mainly for commuting in London, so lots of braking no track.

I've heard some people using organic on the rear to smooth out/reduce the initial bite as it's easy to lock the rears.

  • Am not a fan of EBC, and I used to get them very cheap.

What type of caliper is it, stick a photo up so we can see if it is a sliding caliper etc. What make is the brake caliper? How old is the fluid? What is the fluid grade? Could the pads be contaminated/glazed?
