Is it possible to put likely timings and a rough idea of overnight spot in the details section of this? Keen to join if possible but may need to get away earlyish on Sunday. Could park the van somewhere so looking at possible routes to scoot back to the van in the morning and drive off. Thanks!

I mean, it sounds doable on a cross bike. A bit of hike-a-bike never hurt anyone ;)

Cross bikes are perfectly fine. You probably won't even have to push anything.
My point is that it will be more fun on a MTB. Not that it won't be fun on a cross bike!
