The pads used by TRP Hylex flat mount aren't the same as those used by TRP Spyre, are they?
Bollocks.

"Flat mount version compatible with Shimano K02S/K04S pads"
TBF, the Spyre and HY/RD flat mount take the standard Shimano pads so yeah I'd have thought the Hylex take the same.

Knocking the barb into the cut end of the hose was more difficult than I expected. I wouldn't want to try it without some kind of vice. I used a Workmate bench. The brakes are connected up though finally. Bleeding put off to another day

Should have bought one of these, it has a barb tool that makes it a piece of cake!

My front Sram HRD disc rotor is making a terrible racquet.
Any tips to help bedding??
Are Swissstop pads any better or likely to give different result? -
• #5858
Come to virtually a stop from 15 kph 20 times (but don't actually stop) with your front brake. Then do the same from 20 kph. I've been told that should have you bedded in, and it's worked for me

From new they either dont work and/or make a noise, which as pointed above, simply need bedding in.
if it's new, and very loud, it's likely to be sintered pads that tend to be quite rough the first couple of weeks of riidng (as oppose to resin that take a couple hours with little to no noise)

It's OK guiz it's Mineral
Oh wait lol
I've actually tried doing this shit with syringes and it's basically impossible to not get some of it somewhere where you do not want it under any circumstances.

True, he's bypassing the place you actually want it.

Have a tricky bike (thanks cannondale) that is flat mount rear and post mount front.
Looking at Shimano 105 R7025 shifters for the short reach - they come with flat mount calipers. What options are there for the front Post mount? Hope RX4 are a bit spendy, how about older Shimano calipers, BR-RS785? https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/component/ultegra-6870-di2/BR-RS785.html

The RS785 is the caliper on the irritating cannondale I have - and on my commuter.
Not very bling compared to Hope, but functionally top notch. -

I've got a post mount caliper for sale. It's a Deore XT M8000. Worked absolutely perfectly with my road shifters. Pm if you're interested, I would be looking for £15.

BR-RS785
is a good choice because it has the same kind of hose fitting as the flat mount ones. So it is an easy swap

How do you find these brakes? What are you using it on?
And on another note, anyone have experience using Shimano road disc calipers with their mountain bike levers?
-
• #5873
I’ve got some new ones of these - pm me if you’re interested.

I am loving them, with TRP compression-less cable kit they feel as good as hydro setup

Looking to sell some of these bad boys - not entirely sure on price?
condition of pads is "goodish" I'd say atleast another two months worth of commuting...
callipers and levers are really good condition, no major scratches or marks etcI guess offer me a price.?

I went through this video a few times and I think it stopped me from making too many fuck-ups.
