  • The car is turbo-charged?

  • Don't think that was on your car....or should that be I hope it wasn't.

    Looks like air intake.

  • I reckon (if turbo) that it's a boost pipe, hence blowing off.

  • D2 volvo engine. D4162T to be precise. Yeah it's mine.

  • I reckon that it's the pipe that goes to the bottom inlet of the Intercooler.

  • Thanks, makes sense after some intense googling. I'm going to say that's what it was anyway.

  • Hertz gave me a white Dodge Challenger R/T with the silly motor. 8 miles on the car...almost felt a little guilty on the drive into the city...It's incredibly loud.

I've just been tooling around some of SF's windiest back streets pretending I'm in Bullitt. Juvenile.

  • It's incredibly loud

You ride two wheels as well, I'm not buying any of this 'too loud' marlarky.

  • It fairly reeks of toxic masculinity. Fun though. LSD works well - 11s up Mason St.

  • Drive it like you paid the excess?

  • I have total coverage...

  • Any of you guys watch these videos? I absolutely love them.

  • Think I stumbled across RCR about 6 weeks ago, been binging to catch up on the podcast, reached ep 40 of about 60, which has taken a while because they can easily go on for over 90 minutes each...

I'm quite jealous of Mr Regular's Ford Falcon.

The car show vids are pretty funny, "Which {X} is best {X}?"

  • Dragstrip weekend?

  • Spotted at Freize sculpture fair Regent's Park

Saw this today too which was a new one on me, PS300R is by Paul Stephens, seems like a UK Singer type, old bodies but modern engines and other upgrades. This has the 3.8 engine from a 993RS, probably soon to be going backwards through a hedge to a fiery death somewhere in Surrey, but what a way to go. Shame about the shit looking shopping trolley wheels, otherwise much want.

And this has been bugging me all afternoon, saw this Aston Vanquish Zagato today, and all I could think of was where have Aston stolen that rear light look from? I was originally thinking its ripped off from the back of a spaceship from Star Wars or some other sci-fi from film or TV, but I can't think what, any ideas? It could also be the back of an F15 plane, or the fire spewing bit at the back of the original Batmobile, any other suggestions?

  • Dinky Toys Thunderbird 2 engine exhaust?

  • That Aston zagato... Has many similarities to the new supra - wheels, roofline and side glass, a-pillar etc. Car design is really uninspired lately. And the tail lights look like the original 60's Batmobile

  • Saw a hardtop E-type on the peninsula yesterday, they're can't be many of those flying around in Queensland... Racing green, absolutely immaculate...

  • Hardtop E-types always > convertibles, for me...

  • And this has been bugging me all afternoon, saw this Aston Vanquish Zagato today, and all I could think of was where have Aston stolen that rear light look from?

Dunno but funky as it is I'm struggling to see how it fits with the rest of the design. Doesn't exactly seem cohesive. The Prius is better designed than that tbh!

  • I’ve seen similar on older American cars. Sorry can’t be more specific

  • Saw this last night. Americans do make some nice looking cars.
