Does the blue, canti pomp take a normal size 1 1/8 headset? Just got mine built up after arsing about buying a canti hanger and 30mm clamp (30mm, ffs!) and realised the headset is missing the little inner sleeve bit which stops the play. As I assume you can't buy that bit on its own, gonna have to buy a whole new headset.

Somebody will have a spare. Ask in current projects thread or put a wanted I suppose

Cheers, good idea. Looks like it's an easy part to source - just didn't know the name! (It's a compression ring).
I'll try on current projects and if no luck it's only a couple of quid.

Great success! I've got spares of everything but not headsets, otherwise I'd send you one

Thanks. May just buy a new headset, as it's going to be £5 with postage which seems silly.
Edit: went to the LBS and they let me root through the massive box of headset bits. Managed to Frankenstein something together.

Change the bars and saddle on my GF's pompino. At least, she's comfortable !
About mine.
I had parts laying around and I didn't wanted to sell them. So I put them on the pomp.
Bullmoose, CK titanium, 3t wheels, force chainring, Thomson seatpost.
I just bought the Sunrace 12sp groupsetIs this MMTT enought ? I like it anyways

How did you get a disc on the back?

I'm looking to lighten my Pompino, increase the tyre clearance and add the option for disc brakes.
Can anyone recommend a fork, I’d consider Carbon if the price isn’t extortionate.
Thanks, -

Kinesis carbon disc always seemed a good bet but I bet that's tapered these days.

I got a Van Nicholas cross/touring fork for ~£50 off eBay. Barely used. It's not disc but if you do a bit of googling for a suitable model there are definitely plenty of options out there.

Yeah spotted a nice alloy one on the Kinesis site and it was tapered :(

Thanks for remembering. I bought some from the Bikemonger.
-
• #7820
No worries, how are you finding them?
-
• #7821
They are superb. Yet to do a +100km ride on them but off road they handle great and I still feel aero enough in headwinds on gravel and tarmac. Worth the ££

Bicycle frames are a surprisingly cheap and efficient way of storing components.
-
• #7824
Indeed. I wonder if they'd work on a Lincolnshire Poacher frame... have often regretted not getting one of those bitd when I had chance and cash.
