1978 Mercian Superlight 58cm

I thought I was going to keep this in storage for a bit but would prefer some money and the space in the basement.

A lovely wall hanging / potential investment if you've got the cash lying about. Or break it in and give it its first scratch, then ride..!

• '78 Mercian frame is fully restored and immaculate
  
• Campagnolo Record/Mavic Monthlery Legere/Wolber nos tubs
  
• Campagnolo Record everything else, except the mint Edco headset, Nos TA pista chainset and MKS champagne pedals (fitted due to unusual crank thread size)
  
• Cinelli bars and stem
  
• Lovely condition Brooks Professional saddle w 80s sturmey archer logo.
  
  

The condition as a whole is pretty fantastic. I think the only thing to complete the look would be matching Brooks bartape.

I'm looking for £900. Hope you like the bike.

I've just taken it out for a decent photo shoot. Same location but clearer pics added to the entire thread.

Some better shots of the lugwork for you @stedlocks and see the toptube cable stops too

Also - the colour seems a little washed out in the pictures. It is of course light blue but a little bolder than captured

Something seems to have dribbled down the frame and pooled in the curly bits around the lugs.

The Gold lug lining is superbly done ........I also like the use of copper washers between the pedals and the cranks as well as the rear derailleur...

Lovely, lugs were specially cut and unique to the Superlight :)
