A Lapierre LP Shox Control from 2004 according to 10 seconds of googling.

Many thanks. Somehow I failed on my attempts.

Fuckfuckfuckfuck what's the best way to bond glass-reinforced nylon (or similar brittle plastic) that is heat and oil resistant? I managed to snap a plastic engine part and superglue is ineffective!

Epoxy and glassfibre?

Lasers?

I’ve ordered some epoxy, not sure there is any room to add reinforcement material (it’s the rim/flange of a PCV). Lasers would be more fun.
Edit: I will have a look at work for stuff though, we have loads of pipe repair wraps that might work somehow.

Trying to work out how to connect my brothers tv to an older integrated amplifier.
Amp is all phono inputs, there’s no hdmi spdif or optical.
Here’s what we have at the back of the TV. Assuming I’ll need a DAC.. but what, how etc 😅... anyone done this or able to offer some advice ? Could just use the headphone jack, but will that be shit? Tia

Yeah. DAC. This is cheap and simple. Powered via USB, though.

Headphone would work fine, 3.5mm to 2 phono is pretty common if you just want a quick and simple solution.

Is there any disadvantage to running a 3/32 cog on a otherwise 1/8 drivetrain? My cog has worn out and I have a 3/32 in my box of bits.
Bike is a fixed gear commuter.

nah, it'll be fine

SCART has 2-channel audio out at a level suitable for an amplifier, probably a better bet than using the headphone jack. It's easy enough to make or buy a SCART-2phonos lead hooked up to the relevant pins.

Stickers, where best to print? 2" x 2" need about 500.

I got good service and pricing from https://www.stickersinternational.co.uk/

Cool, thanks for the suggestion.
Googled it and found this
If set to ‘out’ will whatever is on the tv also be sent out via the scart? Might buy it anyway and see.

More or less. They traditionally squirt the tuner output down the SCART lead, so if you're using the TV as a monitor for some auxiliary input you may encounter a surprise backing track :)

The SCART on the TV will be an input rather than an output. Also, the SCART sockets are usually only active when you're switched to the right AV channel on the TV so it wouldn't do anything for regular TV channels.
Looks like the headphone output on the TV is the only option here if you don't have an SPDIF connection. Only annoyance will be that you'll have to physically unplug it from the TV if you want to use the TV speakers rather than the amp (assuming it's not configurable on the TV which most can't).

I run headphone to amp on my TV with no problems, I spend 90% of the time watching something on an hdmi output so pretty sure the scart solution wouldn't work.

Cheers tester, helpful as always!

I'd go SPDIF converter. There are loads of varying price https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPDIF-Coax-Optical-Digital-to-Analog-RCA-3-5mm-Audio-Converter-1-5m-Optic-Cable/302276995109

So I found this rock in the Thames in like 2001/2002. Any idea what it is? It looks like flint on the inside but with something else on the outside?
