This poor bird cannot survive in the wild. It should have been securely contained and it had a great shame it escaped from.your container. I hope you can find it again. Try putting small bird seed on your garden table. As for comments such as 'let it go', words fail me. Budgies do not live in the wild here. If you catch it again keep it in a cage - even something like a hamster cage. You can post about it on local groups. Or on one of the Most and Found national pet sites. You could even taken it to a local.vet and they would advertise it as being found.

Well it wasn't actually my place the budgie landed, and think the owners didn't want something like this to worry about tbh. It's probably having better time flying around then it's buddies back in the cage.

My old band went out on tour with the Banshees back in the early 90s, I can confirm that Budgie is by far the nicest man in rock'n'roll...

I know 'we'eve all had enough of experts' but,
'Its adaptations to cold winters in the Himalayan foothills allow it to easily withstand European winter conditions'

Think that one was a joke. All the other comments here are completely serious though.

I'd think the cold or predators would do it in before it starved to death.
FWIW, yes, the RSPCA would have taken it and rehomed it. Or at least they do up here in Glasgow. They have budgies, cockatiels etc pretty regularly on the re-homing website. Most of them come from owners who aren't able to take care of them any more though. The escapees probably don't live long enough to make it to the RSPCA :(
