Off to view an auction on Friday for classics.
Going off the supplied photos on the website both cars i like look allright.
However..... after running the plate numbers into the Gov.uk MOT history checker i get a wild story of one car (Healy) being a drive away job. The other car will need trailering away, new tyres, new king pins, brake work, probs lots of welding etc etc so i can rule that one out.
Going to view anyway, might watch the sale and see what they go for as the auction house are not putting guide prices out so far :(
In other words, it appears to be a minefield of getting a lemon or good one.
Anyone ever bought a car at auction from BCA? Did it work out good value compared to faffing about with private sales or do the pitfalls of not knowing what you're getting make it more worthwhile for traders?
