  • LFGSS, please help me blow half my savings!

I'm hankering for a new road bike, I've only ever bought 2nd hand and want something new. I currently use a CAAD12 for all my riding, which is commuting into London, Sunday club rides, racing crits and turbo training. I'd like a bike for good weather, something carbon with aero wheels, that I can occasionally race on and leave on the turbo during the winter.

Budget is around the £3k mark and I'd like to be able to get a power meter too as I'm currently on a dumb turbo with estimated power for TrainerRoad. I have a few bikes in mind.

Canondale Supersix Evo - 2019 model comes in a just under £3k with Etap

Advantages - Etap, massive discount and in budget, could probably add the extra quarq spider for power
Disadvantages - A bit boring looking, might want to buy more aero wheels in the future, only ever owned cannondales, too similar to caad?

Specialized Tarmac Expert 2019 model comes in a £3,600

Advantages - Looks amazing, paint is awesome, 50mm carbon wheels
Disadvantages - Mechanical gears, expensive, will have to wait to buy a power meter

Canyon Aeroad - Currently in the sale at £2.6k for mechanical ultegra or £3.5k for di2

Advantages - Options on the groupset, aero wheels, aero frame, just add PM for a great bike that will last for years
    Disadvantages - Bit mamil

I thought getting my thoughts down might help me make a decision but no! I'm sure i'd be happy with any of the above but want to make the right decision. What would you do?

This should be it because of that reason 👆🏽
