• I commented on the Brompton thread about this guy, if indeed the same person.
    Seems like his challenge is to finish and that the Brompton gives him the best chance of doing this.
    I'm not sure I agree with is stated reason, I have no idea why his heart rate would be lower on a Brompton or that a Brompton is easier to fix should it go wrong.

    What I would say is that he hasn't made much of a fuss about it and to my mind is quite different from the what appeared to be Brompton backed rider last year.

    As you say, his reasoning doesn't make sense. If nothing else, Bromptons are not designed to take a beating on off-road tracks and are notoriously hard to fix! And his heart rate can only be lower because he is putting in less effort.

    Agree, not as annoying as last year's guy, but still annoying.

    Recumbents are not allowed because they do not enable competition on an equal basis. Surely the same should apply to non-diamond frame folding bikes such as Bromptons? They are hardly 'roughly the same type of machine'.
