Starting to come together. Got some Pacenti wheels with jack brown greens, nitto grand randoneur bars and found some 6600 shifters to go on. Will probably stick with a single ring at the front.
The 33mm tyre is v tight at the back..

Nice to get some higher volume tyres on this. amazing the difference that 3mm makes :-)
Have also put some different (and quite ugly) pedals on so I use it more.
Going to redo the bar tape at some point too

Do you have hammers in your frame bag?

Anyone offer some advice. It’s a little bit tight at the wishbone... is there an easy way to dimple it? Is this a good idea?

That seat stay and clamp combo!

Beautiful tyres but surely just gonna ruin the frame? If theres any lateral movement in the rim its just going to rub even more in cornering or when rocking the bike side to side.

Can’t see in the pictures but there’s clearance on one side and not on the other side of the wishbone so think I need to dish it a few mm.
Then reckon some minor dimples would be good to make sure if it does flex it doesn’t touch

On the photo it looks like you can slide your wheel a bit further backwards in the dropouts. Have you tried that yet?
-
• #123639
He might have to remove the dropout screws
-
• #123640
Yep - Removed the screws and gone all the way back. Still doesn’t quite clear it.
Think I def need to dish it but will need to likely dimple if I want to avoid rubbing every time I get out the saddle

There is no way that dimpling will work at that place, because it is too close to the casted wishbone. It would ruin a nicely made frame. Get a smaller tyre for the back.

Wow! That is absolutely perfect

I'm close to finally accepting my rear doesn't really accept Flite saddles, after years of a love-hate relationship.
Go with what's comfortable.
Another bottle cage (ideally black versions of this one) and it’s done I reckon. Oh, and a non wack stem.
