On One Midge. Alpkit Bomber are the same, and don't involve giving Planet X any money.

Is there anywhere in town likely to have a City Folder M bag in stock that I can examine? I want a bag I can stick on the front of a Brompton that's big enough to take all the crap I cart around with my when I'm delivering training, but the last time I was in Bikefix and Condor they both only seemed to have the Stockport in store.

(The answer turned out to be Bicycle Heaven in York*- I was passing through the city for work, and came away with a City Folder M†. It doesn't actually seem that much roomier than the Stockport in the main bag, but it is a bit bigger, and has the rear pockets as well.)
*Every bit as good as its reputation.

If your unsure again on sizes etc I’ll happily grab a bag from stock and do photos / video of measurements / look how much crap I can fit - or not fit!

• #1212
Ta - will do! Actually, on that note, how much smaller overall is a Nelson (Longflap) than the Camper? As far as I can tell the numbers on the Carradice website don't include the pockets.
-
• #1213
Camper is the biggest
-
• #1214
Yeah of course - edited now. I've got a Camper, and wanted to know if the Nelson felt usefully less bulky overall - the Camper feels a bit like overkill for commuting, but I want something bigger than a Barley.

I just ordered a Pendle, never really had anything middle-sized when it came to Carradice, I'll see how that works for a townie bike.

Also interested in this comparison...
How bulky is the City Folder off the bike? Is there an issue using it with S bars rather than M?
The Stockport looks a nice equivalent to the Game bag but would like to be able to have the option to carry a change of clothes including shoes as well as lunch/15 inch laptop etc...

I’ll update this on Monday with proper detail..
Yes the city folder works on s bars if you cut the frame handle off - you have one on the bag so don’t need a second on the frame!

The measurements are not super accurate, because allow for a few % of difference.
I’ll do a proper run down Monday!

Ta!
@Stodd I reckon I could get laptop, shoes, lunch, and maybe a change of clothes into the City M. Carradice give a capacity of 24l, which is the same as my Super C courier bag, and that would all go in there . It's not too bulky off the bike and on the shoulder strap, though I've not yet used it when it's been rammed full.

Nooo!
I assume you contacted Carradice? -

Mine did that too, I took it to the cobblers by the train station and they sorted it right out for me.

DIY repair. Only two holes in my hand.
Bag was a clearance seconds, by Debby as badge is slightly off centre. Friday afternoon job a few years back now.

Anyone used the large carradice super c panniers on the front? Are they too big?
Cheers all. Ordered a qr version last night.
