Send us a picture mate. How much will you let them go for? Carbon or alloy steerer?
-
• #328
I think I still have some direct mount shiv forks with a 1 1/8th straight steerer. Is it too late to turn this into dbad? Theyre black.
-
• #329
Yes it is too late. I'm happy with regular brakes for now.
You don't fancy a frame with direct mount brakes under the chainstays though do you? I could do that -
• #330
I should probably shift those forks instead of making a bike around them. Road riding aint my cup of tea really
I have hydro mountain brakes, 700c disc wheels, an 8 speed mtb groupset and some aerobars. Monster-TT-MTB?
-
• #331
8 speed? Did you inherit that from a grandparent?
-
• #332
If you're gonna do it just put them in the right place, Shimano sells dm seatstay brakes these days
-
• #333
Nah, Form > Function

Cheapest groupset to buy into when I was building up a Ribble about 4 years ago. Now I'm stuck with it because nobody wants 8spd. Works well though haha

NOT ON MY WATCH!
-
• #340
Does that mean if you build enough bikes for people here, we can have a Sausage party?

Phil wanna build me a fixie skidder?
-

Still deciding but as clean as possible so internal where I can. All outer to the rear brake so can be cable or hydro.
Will need a solution for the bottom bracket area, might have to come back out and over or under before going back internal. -
• #348
Yes.
-
• #349
Hmm, yes that's what I was thinking too. I think @Jaap has the neatest solution I've found so far: https://www.lfgss.com/comments/14122829/

I don’t want to give too much away but I have a couple ideas along those lines
I’ve still got some Colombus tusk forks for cheap they are straight blade
