Yes it is too late. I'm happy with regular brakes for now.
You don't fancy a frame with direct mount brakes under the chainstays though do you? I could do that

If you're gonna do it just put them in the right place, Shimano sells dm seatstay brakes these days

I think I still have some direct mount shiv forks with a 1 1/8th straight steerer. Is it too late to turn this into dbad? Theyre black.
