But then they'd have to prove damages which would be a bit difficult and would be extremely embarrassing to them when it would be reported on, nice headlines like: "British Cycling sues cycling club member".
The mere fact that they've asked for censorship of debate around doping should be embarrassing already, even if the grounds for that are "we don't like the bad language against the organisation".

Anyone trying to police 'bad language' on the internet is already fighting a lost cause from the start.
Also I don't race, but I am a BC member for insurance purposes mainly, and I didn't have much of an opinion one way or the other so far, but this entire thing about one post they don't like very much moves them into the 'dodgy cunts' territory for me. Might be worth it to me to make the effort to change to LCC or something after all now...

That said, I can’t see how that post is defamatory. Insulting maybe but not defamatory.
