It is certainly an interesting piece - I would love to know more about the design process and why MBK never went onto building them.
Maybe the competition with TVT/Alan/Vitus was too strong?
Maybe the costs weren't stacking up?We will never know!

Built this up to save my Cotic from having to race cross.
It's a 2004 Jamis Nova built around an Eno hub and a variety of friends parts bin parts. Only had it out a few times but been impressed with how capable it is!

Not much progress I'm afraid. I forgot to look fo cheap fake leather stuff to recover the saddle at a car boot.
But the grips have come. A neck warmer is standing in place of a proper recovered saddle.
Green or black?
The black ones are proper squishy grips , whereas the green are hard.

First ride after work just now on new LB rims, the new graphene grooved brake track is well nice! Other than an upgrade to R8000 the CAAD seems to be getting there.

Ran out of time / too pissed to do the cables and bar tape.
Beer when bike building is essential, though inevitably the fiddly bits are last, after most beer.

Your safety advice please, how lethal is this? Not fixed, simple single speed, chain at pretty much max tension already. I'm less than 60 kg and usually ride this bike chilled, but sometimes I drop off curbs.
Cbfa, took it to a bike shop telling them I want a bigger cog and a longer chain to get it into the dropout properly, this is the result... I mean it's sitting there steadily but still looks dodgy af.

Thanks for the help lads, I won't worry about it (as much) then.
Very very cool. Love how the ‘lugs’ are svelte and not as chunky as a cfr.
