I'd get the Giant. My general rule of thumb with road bikes is buy the most mainstream brand bike. They are great.

AND the Defy 2 looks like much better value for money than 1 IMO.

That sounds like good advice, cheers. The colour of the 2 is way better than the 1 too.

Downside of the Giant is the least tyre clearance of the three. Other potentials include BMC Road machine and Canyon endurace although the latter less good with guards perhaps.
