OT: Ebay weirdness

Usually they are drawn on a company account so they will automatically clear, then the company in question will question the payment and the bank will recall it.

You will end up without the wheels AND the £800.

Of course, I strongly advise you to pay the cheque in then email the chap saying "actually I've just spent the money on 100,000 Ginger biscuits, I'm afraid there is none left to send you".

Being doing ebay for 7 years I think I've seen most scams, had this one about 6 times.
Don't worry not going to do it.

Thought I’d do a 7 year dredge to ask if anyone else has noticed the best offer function doesn’t work anymore? When I try to make an offer it just says ‘there was a problem with this action’

Do you have any strikes on your account for unpaid sales? The seller could have set their auctions to reject offers if so.
