Probably a good idea!
I had a bad time removing a pair of carbon PT cranks, ended up with a scratched crank arm and one of the puller tool's jaws bent out of shape. I got a replacement puller from Park (which is the one for sale here).
I'm not ruling out my own ability to butcher bike parts as the problem, but removal seems like a common issue with power torque.
Aluminium PT removal might be more forgiving because you can use the plastic adaptor – less likely for the jaws to slip and dig into the crank.
Wow are they that bad . I am in the market for some new campy cranks , maybe will stick to ultra torque then..
