  • I use RWGPS quite extensively, in the plan route tab, you can choose the background map.

If you pick the "OSM Cycle" map it has all the cycling routes (quite a thick network in Belgium)

  • Great, thank you @giofox

  • Here you are, @KarlMarx This is the "LF6" ("landelijke fietsroute" or "National Cycleroute" in English). The LF6 is nice but not always suitable for racebikes. And expect to do about 2000 vertical meter when going from Dunkirk to Leuven staying south of Brussels. If you don't want to clilmb, you can get from Kortrijk to Leuven without gaining a single vertical meter.

If you need more information, let me know. I've been cycling about 175.000 km in the area you're about to visit, so I believe I know it rather well. ;)

  • thanks so much this is really helpful, I'll take a look and let you know how we get on!

  • You're welcome. Don't hesitate to ask. Depending on when you're coming over to Flanders, I always can guide you if you would like me to. I live near Ghent and my GF lives in Leuven and I often go to her place by bike (taking the route south of Brussels).
