Finally got around to blacking out the PDW fender stays on this, something I originally planned to do with heatshrink. Used Plasti-Dip instead.
Also geared it back up to 42x18T and re-installed Volummys for summer. -

You have a basket on the front of your bicycle.
-
• #182
The basket is for the cheese and the bread.

• #183
The basket is... no more.
Raw Clear finish, we'll see what a New York winter does to it.

Still the best* bike on this forum.

I hate to think what hipster tax made the price on something with brazing this untidy!
Bike still looks amazing though.

What is that paint? Prol the best thing I've seen for a bit. I love the texture to it. Great looking bike. I had a blue pomp and hated the stock colour.

Not paint, but powder coat. Its name is ‘Desert-Aged Brass’ and it’s a metallic satin wrinkle finish not dissimilar to the black you find on nice old racing engine cam covers. Very tough and if you eventually scratch it, it shows as black rather than white.

Understated. Love it.

Time to retire the seven-year-old Formulas to TB14s as I finally snagged appropriate hubs to match the brakes. Laced to destickered Mavic Open Pros with DT Comps.

I'm interested in the setup here. How is this fastened?

Bolt through the front into a Sheldon Fender nut (hollow nut) and another bolt into the back

Looovely. How you holding up in NY?
-
• #195
You know how it is. NYC is America’s London, only with a shitload more virus cases. Riding is fully off my menu, WFH with no trainer or rollers. Hope you’re doing ok!
-
• #196
Glad you have the opportunity to WFH! All good thanks. Did the reverse of you and moved to Los Angeles in mid-Feb. Getting out of Manhattan just in time, it would seem. Stay safe!

Endless tinkering is endless. In the hope of riding a little faster and further, a li'l update.

Supremely sceptical of the look of those tyres in the ordinary course, but they look amazing on this. Such a great bike.
Fair enough, cant quibble with that.
