Helpful, thanks. Current setup is 43mm rock and roads (after Resolutes and Nanos funnily enough). Main concern is mud clearances if it gets wet and comfort on long descents.
Current set-up has seen off TNR and Gritfest, but both left me wondering if the switch to bigger clearances was a good option.

Did the northern section from Inverness to Lochearnhead. I rode my Escapade with 42c Resolutes, my mate was on a Camino with 40c Nanos, both fine.
