Think they all do Monday lunches

Eaten at all of those and so will recommend them, I don’t like to suggest places I havent eaten at but undoubtedly there’s other options!

Was going to say Cornerstone but they are shut Mondays.

Thanks Joe, looked at all the menus (Roganic and Story are shut Monday lunch :( ) I think it’s a tossup between Brat and Hide, will ask the Mrs.

I hope the head chef doesn’t also take Monday off!

i suspect restaurants close on a monday due to the lack of availability of fresh ingredients, specifically seafood.

That’s a good point, I never buy fish on Monday for that exact reason. Trying to fit turning 40 around nursery times is a fucking ball ache.

Cheers @amey Love the Marksman and hadn’t thought of suggesting. Suspect for the purposes of the evening @aggi suggestion of Chesham Arms for Yard Sale might be best received. Will have to go to the Marksman for a drink if so.

Better go for an eat. The pints are mad expensive even for the east London craft market.

Soho/Covent Garden/Holborn cheap and delicious. Not pizza or pub food. Something I might not have been to before. Obvs no corp chains, TODAY, WHAT?

Also I meant to post this last week, but I went to a Toby Carvery for the first time the other week.

It's brilliant! Sunday roasts in London gastros are almost always a disappointment, whereas this exceeded all expectations. Amazing roast potatoes - and importantly as many as you can fit on your plate, not the normal bullshit small portions - great Yorkshires, loads of well cooked veg and sides, etc.

Govinda, kati roll, the falafel stall at the end of soho market, taro, the hole in wall place at the bottom of kingly
