To be honest im thinking more of a 45mm offset, so the trail wont be particularly low.
My gut feeling is that having low trail on a bike that wont be front loading more than 75% of the time is almost a shame. But again, maybe the handling of unloaded low trail bikes isnt as bad as i think it is!
Regardless, this is an interesting read :) They seem to think its 'all hype' ;)

My Pelago has 41 mm of trail with the 63mm offset fork, 73 degree HA and 35mm tyres.
It handles like a dream imo, but I also have more than a kilo on the front with the large Pelago rack, which weighs more than a kilo I think.
I rode the my old Kona Lava Dome (around 70 mm trail, I think) with the same rack and I can definitely say the lower trail is an improvement on wheel flop, especially carrying a load.
A functional mtb fork would be good with more offset - something like 50-60 mm, maybe even as high as 70 mm..
