  • It's not that odd. That's how most TTs work (and the Tour, and everything else that's timed).

    It's about fastest time to complete all the stages. Not first across the line at the last stage.

    I guess that's true. But with TTs the person who completes the course in the shortest time wins, you can't stop on a roundabout and have a rest and stop the clock!

    It's just different from other ultras. A multi-stage race, with the option to choose the length of time between stages.

  • MTB Enduros and rallies though work this way. But I don't know what they do at the 'gaps'. I presume they have time limits to get started again.
