Wanted to Buy: Brompton M6L for touring

I am coming to UK from Australia and a friend recommended this forum for all things bike.

I would like to purchase a used Brompton for touring London to Aberytsworth Wales and any advice anyone has for routes etc. At the moment we are looking to take around 10 days.

I'd like features on the bike to include rack, extended post, 6 gears and firm suspension. That said i'm open to alternatives.

Thank you so much for the offer. Part of me thinks if i want to buy new might be the better option, but i've left too late to build one myself. In this sense borrowing could be great. I'll see how the week goes then perhaps get in touch? What bike do you have out of interest?

We also keep a tonne in stock and regularly modify / custom build them

Second SJS cycles - fantastic guys to deal with. Another option is Compton cycles in London - they're well placed to build custom spec with a very quick turnaround

Good question - Because my memory is sieve-like I can't remember exactly what I specced a few years ago - I think I was after an m2l and could only find s bikes at the time so they built up what I needed plus extra changes (seat, grips etc), that day.

I may have just got lucky but I was impressed! SJS is now my touring bits and pieces place of choice.

How much for your wife's m6l??
