Anyone on the forum had a volvo 940 before? My Morris Traveller is in need of restoration and being a fun car rather than a load lugger. Also on the short list are 3 series touring but are they a pain to keep running?

Given the cost of materials, it is almost certain they will be recycled. The environmental cost to source the materials to build them won't be great though...

Not yet. I need to convince MrsA first.
Did you get your grand back when you cancelled?
-

Yes. Took about 5 days to hit the account again.

I really want the 240 estate with T5 engine on eBay. I think I’d end up sinking thousands into it though.
Sell me the C55, use the money to buy and finish the 240.

Good to know.

Those are E88's, the barrel and rim are bare metal - which is fine if you run them exclusively as track wheels, but a pain in the arse if you use them on the road (although saying that I've not driven the 911 this year yet).
I'd very much like a set of BBS LM's, however:

Could you not get these lacquered for road use?
I had pondered buying new copy rims for my car and thought I would try to get them lacquered to preserve them. I had a set previously which rotted - not genuine ones. -

Well, I did drive it to get an MOT, but that's it.
I use the C55 most weekends - but that's to drive to (say) Swinley to go mountain biking.
During the week I only use the car to go to Heathrow, and I use the C55 for that as well.
I basically use the C55 for 90% of things, as it's really practical, and really fast. If you ignore the fuel consumption, it's pretty much perfect.
But - I am driving to Morzine in August in the 911:

Clear powdercoat maybe? They do look awesome.

I’m sure someone here could advise in relation to the best process. I think powdercoat chips but I will defer to anyone who is more knowledgable.

I had an Alfa 166 for a year, it was fucking shit, badly made, leaked all the time so it constantly smelled like a wet dog, handled like a pig and every week was like a lottery of what would stop working or fall off it,
It was pretty though for a barge. -

Mini may have had a reprieve for at least the year, as garage is now sorted!
Track day time. -
